Hilliard Ohio’s history is firmly rooted with the days of the railroad. In the mid-1800’s Hilliard was called Hilliard Station, named for the railroad station found on Main Street. Hilliard is geographically located between the Big Darby Creek to the west and the Scioto River to the east. Hilliard is located directly west of downtown Columbus and is just a ten-minute drive to the capital city’s center.
